I purchased this sub new in Jan. 2009. Like new, functions perfectly. Pair of Epik's on the way, so it's got to go. Local pick up only, Chicago area. $175.

I've got a pair of the Sentinels in production. Chad says I can pick them up in about another week. Needless to say, I'm pretty excited!

Yes, I know it's a real step up. The 2.3TL's I recently acquired have been forcing me to upgrade just about everything. I'll be sure to review the Epik's, and I'm curious to hear what you think about the Phoenix.

I find that unless the music is encoded with a .1 track, like DTS or SACD/DVD A, I never use a sub. It's just too much. For HT, I'm all over it. Those subs will be astounding. I'll let you know about the Phoenix. It's supposed to be comparable to my Ultra13...we'll see :D.

Just wanted to say that RCFGuitars was a pleasure and a class act to deal with. My PSW505 sub sounds great! Thanks!

RCF, replying to your request on the Phoenix. It's a very nice sub, but my demo was flawed. Placement was nearfield in the center of a fairly large room and while it sounded good and effortless, there was no lock with the owner's Swans. That said, I have no doubt you'll be overjoyed with dual Sentinels and it's quite possible 2 12"s will sound better than a single 18".

Thanks for the follow up. I've really heard nothing but good things about the Epiks, especially in their price range. Chad over at Epik also thinks that the 2 12"s will out perform a single 18" - especially for music. I'll be sure to follow up with a listening report once I get them up and running.
