Could someone explain what the differences are between "old style" LSi's and "new style" LSi's? I've read a few threads where people make comments about old vs. new. Thanks!

The tops of the cabinets are slighty different as is the color of the wood side panels. As far as I know everything else is the same.

I must have the older style then. I had damaged the speaker base on my left LSi25 and ordered a new one. The current base is a dull black veneer. The new one that I just received is a piano black lacquer...looks awesome btw!

Anyone have any pics of a new style cabinet?

There are product images and catalogs in the Press section ('http://www.polkaudio.com/partners/') of the website, I guess, if that's what you are looking for.

The differences are cosmetic as far as I know.
I have the old series in my master bedroom system and the newer series in my main room. As you mentioned, the old style has a matte black finish base whereas the newer style has a gloss black finish. The old base is unfinished at the bottom.
The older style has sharper corners.
The new style has a smooth gloss finish on the back whereas on the older style you can see the joints.
With the cherry version, the wood side panels on the older style is a lighter color with a heavier grain finish. (You can feel the grain and looks more like a typical light oak finish.) The new version has a lighter grain with a smoother finish and has a more reddish tinge to it.
