I got this remote for fathers day http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/remotes/universal_remotes/devices/377&cl=us,en
I set it up, and it has never really worked right since I got it. I have to use the help feature almost everytime I use it. I hit watch tv, and the tv, and denon receiver will turn on, but my cable box won't, so I hit help, and it say did this fix the problem. After that the cable box will turn on, but the next time something else might not come on or off. It really is more of a hassle then using 2 remotes, and my wife can't really use it either because of this.
Does anyone else have this remote, and if they do, have you figured out how to get it to work properly?
Another thing about the remote is, I hate how the buttons are setup. Why put the numbers on the bottom, it makes it really hard to hold the remote, and type in numbers at the same time. And why didn't they make the volume buttons feel different then the rest of them. It makes it hard to find the volume in the dark.
It also works very poorly with the volume on my denon. If I tap the volume up or down a couple times, it ill jump 10 or 20 points, instead of a couple.
All in all, unless I have just really messed up, this remote is really, really over priced, and doesn't function near as well as I hoped. Maybe for 30$ it wouldn't be bad, but for the MSRP, it is just ridiculous.
One good thing about the remote was the setup. It was very easy to setup, took maybe 15 minutes and I had it ready to go.
