Given that people consistently ask for reference material, music or movies, for bass content, thought I'd pass this along. I was listening to Peter Gabriel's greatest hits (Shaking the Tree) last night... very strong, musical bass. Much lower and more consistent than what you usually get with 'pop' music.

If you want some more of the same check out his latest album "Up". First time I played it I knew it had some serious bass.

Yeah, I was suprised when i saw that Up was said to be a dissapointment. I thought it kicked ass. The many years Gabriel spent on the slbum were well worth it, I was impressed.

You have to remember, if all those backstreet boys songs from the late 90s that we all loved so much had subsonic bass then those little barbie boomboxes would've been blowing up left and right.
