Just finished re-doing my living room / listening room, and of course the next logical step was to build a good 2-channel system :) Took a drive up to my local audio shop today and walked out with an order on a Rogue Cronus integrated (Magnum upgrades) and a pair of Totem Mites. I had heard the Rogue on a previous visit, but not the Totems. I spent about 1.5 hours auditioning the Staff and Hawk models through the Rogue; loved the Hawks, but they were a bit $$$ given that I was already getting the integrated. What was surprising is I really couldn't stand the Staffs - they were too warm and bassy, and did not seem to have very good detail in the mids and highs. On a whim, I asked to hear a bookshelf model and he hooked up the Mites - instant smile. In some ways it was like the Hawk with obivious less dynamic range, but an amazing pinpoint soundstage. My previous speakers were Polk Rti A3's, which had a similar detail in the highs as well as great imaging. I've never heard the Lsi series.
Looking forward to tubes and Totem :)
