I've installed them instead using the older plain metal plates.....but definitely contemplated cutting the front face slightly and stuff to get the newer plastic plates to drop in....but honestly I don't want to mess things up...i do have a dremel but ah...just probably tired done a lot of work lately.

Is it possible I can call Polk and use the RDO194's plastic plates instead??? are they perfect drop-ins?

Did your M10's have the Peerless tweeter? The new tweeters are perfect drop-ins for the SL2000's, but not for the Peerless. Were the tweeter's domes silver or black?

Yes they were definitely many moons ago Peerless.....

why not replace them with peerless tweeters? They do come up from time to time.

Peerless tweets weren't coming up when I was re-doing the XO's so I made a decision....the inductors were changed and the changes needed to run SL2000's or 3000's were also made.....

basically the rated caps and resistors that coincide with the tweets Polk intended the RDO198's to replace. (if I recall the lowside caps were still the same ratings...don't recall specifics sorry but I ran it thru u guys)

Ok, gotcha on the mods.

Hook up with Face, he'll get things straightened out for you.

A router is a machine that one could use to safely enlarge to openings.

Here is a pic, If you have never done it maybe you have a friend that knows how to use one.

If it was me, "only cause i am very anal" I would make a jig to router it out for a perfect clean drop in.

haha funny.

ok I see what u guys have in mind...alright...well i may have to revisit this...
they are in place using the older metal plates....but I do like the new polk branded moldings...but I guess its because everything is currently exposed with no branding. since their front thread covers are gone...I will start a new thread on that.
