I am mostly looking for protection during short brownouts or power losses.
It happens frequently sometimes.
It happens to be that this above unit carries some surge protection as well...
And also some voltage regulation...a plus plus.
I plan to definitely hookup my projector to the battery side. Also the Oppo and Pre-amp.....I doubt I can hook up the 555 to it but I will slap it onto the surge protection only outlets....
I know I know there are 1500 dollar solutions more applicable...but they really don't persuade my wallet.
I have also looked at the Belkin AV unit but there are way too many complaints of humming noises from them so there's no way I am going to buy that buzz can.
If there are reasons I cannot or should not use this almost run of the mill battery ups for this application please let me know. Again I am not so interested in little overly expensive voltage regulators...I see more harm posing itself from power outages...than spikes...and I am not saying I will not look at them later but truly feel I need to make sure most of my stuff is not abruptly shut off outside of the AMP which I feel is a little monster that can handle that.
Thank you all as always.
btw this ups has raving reviews.
