I believe that is the beer of choice at Harvard!
I'm wondering aloud as to who the arrogant bastard is...there seems to be some ambiguity here...as far as that meeting is concerned.... and one of the problems is it's hard to refer to the first Af-Am Pres with such terms without crossing certain lines...isn't it? Whether you like him or not.
Sort of reminds me of the way Ali was seen in his heyday. A strong, boasting black boxer who proclaimed he was the greatest of all time! I grew up in that period...and man did a lot of people "hate" him? Now he's one of the most beloved sports figures of all time.
Might something similar be in the airwaves with a Harvard Educated Lawyer who's also black? Maybe he should 'apologize' for that? For Not being subservient enough?

You are reading way too much into a beer selection. I love drinking AB. It is one of my favorate beers.
If I really wanted to say something about any one of the three I would. I don't need a metaphor to imply anything.

We are getting off the track with what beer the President and his guests should drink here.
But I like to play along too. Can't say I liked him either. Well IMO the last good president was Calvin Coolidge. One of his greatest quotes:
Perhaps one of the most important accomplishments of my administration has been minding my own business.
Calvin Coolidge
On a personal level I could care less what kind of beer he drinks or whether he likes cream with his coffee or what size/brand of socks he wears, and unless you happen to be the CEO of a beer company or are writing a book on his life you really shouldndt care either. Are we as americans so bored with our own lifes that we need to be constantly barraged with bits of meaningless trivia about others?

I'm tired of this story equally all the way around. Bigger fish need frying right now!
However, you can't do much better than Samuel Smith when it comes to beer. Lager or Stout is my preference.

Ok,
I get it...I may have read too much into it. The problem is fueled some by the fact that I've met H.L Gates, Jr. a couple of times and he's a friend of a friend. And I don't have a lot of distance from this news item.
Back to Beer!
