After looking for a dealer on the polk page for the san francisco area I came up with only two dealers...

Home Gear and Laser City Home Entertainment

I called Laser City Home Entertainment and they have some great prices on the Lsi line.

Anyone has any experience with them?

also I am looking at the "grey" market products (sound distributors-ebay etc) and the only concern I have is waranty..put prices are very tempting.

any input?

what do you mean "great prices"
is it worth driving from Sac to SF?

You said that you ordered them.........Doesn't that mean you paid for them and are waiting on them to arrive? If not, why wouldn't you ask for the price to determine if you even found their prices to be acceptable? I'm confused.......

Thanks....and of course being in the bay area, I would figure there would be more Polk Lsi Dealers !!!

I might try the crutchfield route to listen to them at home with minimal risk.

Yes I actually got my center channel LSI channel from crutchfied witbh free shipping and I have already exchanged them once due to a bad driver. They have awesome service

Brettw22:
Yes I have paid for them-every time I called I was given a different price so thats why I am waiting till the transaction is complete and wanted to make sure that serial numbers are genuine and box is not an open box or used equipment.

BTW they DO NOT ship speakers- and if you are still interested give them a call.

Lasercity was a big Laserdisc seller in the 80's and 90's before DVD. They started out as Wongs Hi-Fi on Bush near Polk St. They are now at a wherhouse on Bacon St. in South San Francisco near the Airport Costco.

Yes I have bought from them. They are ok.

World of Sound was on Van Ness, one block from polk street. That was back in the 80's when they sold the SDA line.

joe logston;

They donot carry them in stock-they special order them.

Once you pay , they oder it from polk. They would not ship to you so you have to pick them up.

My LSi9s came in 5 days! brand new sealed.
