These has been sitting in the house for a long time. Anyone know what tweeters these have?

I have another set with Peerless but those tweeters look much different. I am guessing that these are SL2000 but it doesn't completely match the description I got from googling around. Thanks.
I'm guessing the "M7" designation, in front of the serial number, means these are Monitor 7 speakers, and quite desirable, if not as sought after as the SDA models:

If correct, the specifications state that the tweeter is a SL2500.
Edit: some more info on vintage models here: http://polksda.com/list.shtml

Monitor 7 Series II and those are sl2500 (trilaminate) tweeters. Similar in construction to the sl3000. Both models were replacements for the sl2000.

I really like the SL2500. The Monitor 7's are among the most desirable of the monitor series.... Enjoy what you have - should sound great.

Speaking of SL2500 tweeters, I recently switched around some tweeters in different speakers to help out a fellow Club member in need of replacement tweets. I now have a set of SL2500 in great condition if anyone if interested them? They look just like the above picture (as many of you know) If you need them for replacing or extras to have, just PM me. Again I have 2 total

I could sure use one of them. I have a pair of 5jr's with one blown tweeter and would be very grateful.

That would be so appreciated! My email is balticrim@lanset.com I'ld email you thru the club but I don't have 10 posts as of yet. Seeing my love affair with the Polks, I'll be around for a while.

The SL2500 and 3000 use a different crossover network than the SL2000. They replaced the SL2000, but aren't the replacement part. The RDO-194-1 replaces the SL2000 in your M5jrs (unless they made a M5jr series 2 with the 2500 in it).

I pulled the tweeter from the M5jrs and it says sl-2500 on the back. Made sure to test it and it is blown. Polk must have built some of the M5jrs with the sl-2500

Yes, they did actually. The M5Jr Series II used the SL-2500's. I believe all of the Monitor Series II models used the SL-2500's actually...The M4.6 Series II, M5Jr. Series II, M5 Series II, M7 Series II, M10 Series II and M12 Series II.
edit-Yep. Just checked...all of the Series II Monitors used the 2500's, aside from the Monitor 4 Series II, which used an SL-1500. The Monitor 4.6 Series II used the SL-2500, as did the Series II 5Jr's, 5's, 7's, 10's and 12's.
I'm guessing that the SL-2500's are similar enough to the SL-3000's, that you can replace them with RD0-198-1's. Can anyone confirm that for me? The 2500's and the 3000's look almost identical.

I also need to know this for sure.... need to order all the stuff for my M7s.

Are they Monitor 7 Series II's? The various iterations of the Monitor 7's had several tweeters...Peerless, SL-1000, SL-2000...and the SL-2500.

Guys if you are ever in doubt call Ken Swauger at Polk CS. He will help you out. I just can't remember 100% about which RD0 replaces the sl2500. It seems there has been some question in the past. I believe the RD0198-1 only replaces the sl3000.
Call and ask for Ken he'll set you straight.

The RDO-198 replaces both SL3000 and SL2500.
