Spades is my favorite, but I have never played online. I may give it a try.

I've played a little Spades over the years but we always played Hearts in college. Nickle a point with the ability to take your own score down on a run (instead of adding 26 to the rest)...AND...paid double if you finished in the minus. There would be a running game going on in the student center for hours with players moving in and out as folks needed to go to class (if they went to class). Quite a bit of money changed hands.

We always played Euchre where I grew up. Similar to Spades, but more difficult due to the changing trump suite with every hand.

Other than Poker, it was all we played around southeastern Michigan. I haven't played in years though. I'd have a hard time remembering until I got through a few hands.

I hope you play the game better than you spell...or is sapdes a completely different game?

Anybody ever play pluck? Like spades, but with 3 people, the trump suit is different, and if you don't meet your quota, you get your high cards "plucked" away by whoever exceeded theirs!

Played a lot of spades in college, but not much now. Family games are cribbage, and sheepshead when I get together with my Milwaukee area relatives
