Dissagree here on this one... He shot himself and gets two years, meanwhile Donte' Stallworth commits manslaughter (kills someone) and gets probation. I think it should have been the other way around on this one...

Totally agree. I was just commenting on the general LACK of justice for celebrities;)

He could have easily shot someone else. Guns dont belong in nightclubs. As for Stallworth he should be locked up i agree. But when you have a good Attorney you get probation.

I should be clear in stating that I do not excuse Burress' actions as he was an idiot for taking a gun into the club in the first place, and should be punished. I am pointing out the complete hipocracy of killing someone equates to ZERO time in jail vs. shooting yourself being worth two years.

Stallworth's light sentence is standard in Florida for DUI manslaughter, with agreement from the family of the deceased. The victim's family is reported to have received up to $10M.
Dante Stallworth took a man's life, but tragic as it is for his family, it was an accident. Plaxico's gun fumbling was certainly unintentional, but he knew the law and intentionally broke it.
Among Plax, Vick, and Dante, Stallworth's crime is the most egregious. But to me, the intent demonstrated by Plax, and particularly Vick, point to their needing rehabilitation (read: "attitude adjustment") more so than Stallworth.

If STallworth were sober I would agree; he wasn't, so I'd say that's willful intent just as much as carrying a firearm. I also have a hard time calling it an accident if someone is driving intoxicated.
But the reason for the disparate sentences isn't celebrity-related, it's geography. Florida vs New York, simple as that.

He got what he asked for....he pled GUILTY to the charges.

Welcome to America's fine Judicial System.

I am glad Plexico got 2 years because I think it's a fair amount. I think Stallworth did not get enough time, and celebrities in general get away with murder (Literally in some cases).
