I use to own a 555 and auditioned the carvers. The adcom will blow it out of the water. The carver had real constricted highs and I think magnetic field mumbo jumbo is just an excuse not to use a real transformer.

First you can't ask a general question on if one brand is better than another brand as each brand will have its line of products each with its own strengths and weaknesses and along with that its own lovers and haters for each. It's like asking is Ford or Chevy better with no mention of a model or year.

I just joined here, did you get rid of the Audiosource Pre One? Looks like you have the Tuner/Pre Two also? I have a 300 new in a box (couldn't resist the deal), now kinda looking for partners for it.
