I have the oportunity to get some lsi9's for $399 from a local seller. although cosmetically not perfect, ( scratches and blemishes ) they do sound perfect.
just wondering what everyone thinks. i know i need to weed out some inventory to accomidate these so thats whats holding me back

What would you use them for? A 2 channel rig?

I'd probably would want a better deal for "worn" 9s.

i was thinking about going with the lsi's for my frts in my living room, and either selling the rti10's or moving them elsewhere. then eventually getting an lsic for a matched front stage. so you think it's too steep? i was a little hesitant, so if he doesn't go down $ i'll just pass

The LSi's would match pretty well with the electronics you have now. If you are ok with the cosmetic blemishes, I would go for it. If they have a warrantee I would take it (like floor models at a store) but if they are from a private seller, I would try to get the price a little lower.

It might be worth asking how old they are, how they have been used, how the cosmetic blemishes were acquired.

http://img8.imageshack.us/img8/4961/dsc01760a.jpgI got a pair this year for a few dollars more 10 months old with the boxes in perfect condition. The only downside was I had to finish breaking them in. I know breaking them in is hard work. N8
