With the help of an unexpected accounts receivable receipt I was able to get the check mailed out today.
I added your "The Clamp" (WOW :)), and then a tubed MM phono preamp that's kept me 100% involved with vinyl over the past 6 months and forgot all about my CD collection.
When I listened to CD's again I realized that I've become addicted to the tubed sound characteristics, so this tube buffer should be a real blessing to my CD listening experience.
Thanks!

dangit, i didn't see this until too late. i sorta don't mind my current setup but wanted to see if adding some type of tube-age of any sort would give me better results and this would allow for me to keep my current setup. congrats inspired.

Keiko has just recently researched and purchased a Yagin Tube Buffer, and shortly thereafter a Dared Tube Pre. The Yagin sound is said to be exceptional and a screaming bargain. He may be up for selling as having both is redundant.

Well, you said you would "pack it so a gorilla couldn't hurt it". It was more like using a Kevlar vest to stop a paintball. I told you I would have it hooked up seconds after it arrived, but it took a half hour to unpack :D. . . . Just kidding . . . 29 minutes.
Perfect as Advertised, Bulletproof Packaging, Ultra Fast Shipping (seems like it got here before I bought it) :)
I had it hooked between my NAD 1700 pre and 2600A (both recently re-capped and power supply upgraded) using MIT Shotgun 2's on both input and output sides and set to "low" (5-50 ohm).
I just installed a Grado Reference Platinum wood body on my Thorens TD 160 BC MkII with SME Series III a week ago and at 200 hours it's sound was stellar. I've been listening to it about 8 hours a day so I'm very tuned in to my system's sonic signature.
Well, after using "stellar" before hooking up the buffer, I'm just about out of descriptive adjectives. I guess "stellar + hallucinogenic" will have to do :D
I'll be doing a shootout between this legendary classic Musical Fidelity X-10v3 versus a Yaqin CD-1 in about a week and will start a new post.
THIS THING IS AWESOME - THANKS JOE !!

What he really meant was, "so a Bigfoot couldn't hurt it."

I'm always tinkering and tuning up components and wanted to peek inside just to make sure no packing materials, dust, etc. made it inside.
It was clean as a whistle
Actually there aren't even any vent's to let dust in. The only possible openings are the centers of the extra loop output phono plug connectors, if unused. Those little 6112's sure work some magic for their size as they are smaller than half of your pinky finger, about 15mm in diameter by 40mm long.
