Las, would you be able to deliver this one to Flushing? Although I'll be moving soon, I really need a sub...
Does the sub have any amp issue that is so common with MK II? This is the only thing that bothers me. I heard it has a high current amp, maybe too high for certain components.
The small footprint is ideal for me.
How do you think this performs (in term of output especially) w/ (any of) SVS PB10-NSD, SVS PB12-NSD, SVS PC 20-39 or MFW-15? Is it more musical or HT?

I've never compared it to any other sub, I just know that it is very powerful.
I did have to use the sub with a cheater plug so that the ground connector is bypassed.
PM me your address and phone # and maybe I can come by this weekend with it.
Let me know,
Sal

FYI: a few hum issues have been corrected by tightening down the nuts on the inside of all the external connectors on these subs....

I'm really surprised this hasn't gone anywhere yet. I have his lil brother, the Super Junior and love it! While I do want to upgrade to a better sub, I haven't any cash to consider this. Otherwise, this would be very hard to pass up on...

I don't think it compares at all. The sunfire is sealed and the VTF-3 MK2 is ported and enclosure is a lot bigger.
Also, the VTF-3 go lower and louder, but for music...I would think the sunfire might be better.

You can compare any sub with one another... just as Craigsub and his rankings.
With that said, I still have questions about this particular sub. From what I have gathered it is a musical sub, but what kind of history do these sub's drivers has about breaking down?

What I meant is that due to the size of the both subs, the Sunfire won't compare well with the HSU VTF-3 MK2 sub, meaning the raw output from the HSU sub will play lower and louder, whereas the Sunfire will be better for music.
If I was looking for a sub that does both HT and music, I'd stick with the HSU VTF-3 MK2, but if music is your first priority and don't care for HT, then the Sunfire would be fine

I would buy this for me, but see there are others that are interested and they will be at CarverFest. If any of you want it I could pick it up say in say NETCON, NJ and bring it to you. I`ll be in Hazleton PA Sunday. Otherwise I`m interested, speak quickly.
