You sure about that?.......I've got the DV-400V-K and it plays DVD-A,but, NOT SACD.....

According to everything I can find on that player...it will play neither DVD-A or SACD.

I've got the manual,right in front of me.........bought this used,last year for $50.
It plays DIVX.........I misspoke when I said DVD-A......It doesn't play DVD-A or SACD......It doesn't have the decoder or the 5 analog outputs necessary for these formats.

mine is the euro model..not available off the shelf here in the States..and it does have 5 analog outputs..

plays SACD, DVD-A, and any region DVD..also has built in PAL converter
works flawlessly..only reason im getting rid of it is to upgrade to an all region blue ray player
its the predecessor to this model

Are you sure you have the model number correct? Even the Euro version of the DV-400-k does not have 5.1 outs and sacd dvd-a capability.

Your link takes us to the DV-610, not the DV-400.
In that link it states:

This is the same identical player as the Pioneer DV-410 that we carry, and it adds a 5.1 analog output for a Home Theater System. Also it is compatible with DVD Audio and SACD. All other features are the same, including all playback features.

So I looked up the DV-600 and it also has SACD and DVD-A support. My guess is that like the 610/410 being comparable models except the 610 has SACD and DVD-A, that the comparison is probably the same for the 600/400.

Of course all of that could be wrong. Can you post a picture of the rear of the unit that you have for sale?

Im really sorry ..we have two multi region players..one is my daughters ..
I looked on the wrong reciept when I posted this instead of just looking on the front panel of the player

I've done the same with my equipment,billm.......too many am/fm tuners!!!!

This is a real nice player......12 bit video....Burr Brown audio dacs.....115 s/n ratio.......all good.

If i didn't just buy the Denon 2930,I'd just jump on this.

exactly plus ive been through a couple multi region players now so i forget model numbers..bottom line though i should have double checked

no harm,no foul.......I have the same burr-brown dacs in the 400v-k.......s/n ratio 115.....just terrific.

I love the silver.....mine is black.....the silver would go with my Retro-Silver Pioneer Elite VSX-74TXVI receiver.

If I cou;ld sell my 400vk for $45,I'd buy yours.
