Just wanted to get some opinions on the two. Would it be worth the upgrade to go to the Rotel unit instead of using the 2910?
How much difference should there be between the two?

Rotel cd players are some of the very finest in the industry at any price. The Denon is just a ticking bomb waiting to stop working.

Get the Rotel.

Well just got one off the Gon for 310.00 shipped. Guess i will see how she sounds with the rest of the rotel gear soon enough.

Congrats. I have the RCD-1072. It sounds as good as my old RCD-855

Just gotta know how to fix 'em. My 2910 that I got off EB was having trouble reading disks, which seems to be the big complaint with Denon. I was able to fix it by cleaning the optic. No, those cleaning disks won't do it. You have to physically clean the optic. I gently used a silk cloth for cleaning camera lenses. It works beautifully now.

Oh yeah, congrats on the Rotel.

ABSOLUTELY worth it. I expect to have it for years to come.:)

The 1072 has the Classic Rotel good sound

The 1072 was intially regarded as a real giant killer. I have a RCC-1055 but could not pass on the 1072 due to the reviews I have read. Rotel makes great equipment for the $$$.
