What is the general consensus on the audiosource amp one.
In addition to this question, I noticed that the power specs for the amp claim that its 80watts/channel and if bridged its 200 watts for 1 channel. Unfortunately this is all it says. What I am wondering is what impedence these watts are based off. Is it 8 ohms or are they saying that, that is the power output for all impedences?

The Amp One when run in stereo mode is stable to 2 ohms. It's got a very flat response and very neutral. I ran one for years in stereo mode without a hitch. When I bridged it to 200wpc and put it on my center, it lasted another year of so. I'm not sure if it gave up the ghost due to age or by running a center large with probable impedence dips that did it. Mine I bought used 5 years ago and it was probably at least 10 years old then. Not that old for an amp, but I wouldn't put Audiosource in the same class as the tanks some other amp manufacturers build. There's a reason why they are inexpensive...they do the job very well for the price though.

What's your question? The Amp One A is 2X80 @ 8 ohms, 1X200 @ 8 ohms and 2X125 @ 4 ohms...still it's stable to 2 ohms when run in stereo and not overdriven.
