Anybody see it yet?

It started tonight but I did not know, I set it to record at 11:00pm and I'm waiting till 11:40 so that I fast forward all comercials.

I hope it's good, I was so depressed when I learned that they cancelled StarGate Atlantis :(

I'll be watching this in a few months. I can't stand the commercials, even fast forwarding through them on a recording, so we just rent the DVD when it becomes available. We've been watching all the Stargate stuff like this since 2004.

Yes, cancelling Atlantis was a disappointment. It was turning out to be quite an excellent production IMO.

We watched it last night, I thought it was good, kept me entertained, was wondering what direction it could take again....was pretty interesting what they came up with, won't give it away....

We're big time fans of the original movie, never watched any of the series, I hated Richard Dean Anderson's character.... We might get Stargate Atantis when it comes out on Blue-ray.

We watched it last night. I thought it was terrific. Great story- locked in the 9th Chevron and got the series going. Looks like they definitely stepped up the graphics to Galactica level.

Please don't curse the show already by comparing it with "Galactica", that show blew so bad, the first 12 episodes were ok and then it turned into 90210. All Drama and no Sci-Fi

So true. I LOVED the first season, then it got so damn boring.

As for SG:U, I thoroughly enjoyed the first episode, and am waiting anxiously for #2

I avoided watching it because I like to watch the episodes in sequence and I hate to miss any. The SyFy (mistake changing the name) channel has way too many commercials. I will watch it on netflix when they come out on DVD. I loved all the Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis episodes. I tried Battlestar Galactica first season because it got so many raves but it seemed like a soap opera to me - not much science fiction to it. I never tried the later episodes, sounds like I didn't miss much.

You need to catch up, there's a lot of episodes to watch and a lot of really good material.

the 2009 ecomony must have killed atlantis because that show was da bomb and it had at least 3 more years left in it.

Loved the original movie. Ever since it has been like a heavy narcotic sleep aid. Puts me into a drooling coma. Sorry.
