how do you know who's your BFF?

Ok.. we all have friends.. lots of friends.. old friends, school friends, gym friends, co-worker friends, Facebook friends, club Polk friends, etc.

Of all your friends. how do you know which one is your BEST friend? Can you have more than one best friend? How many is to many best friends? Where is the cut off point between best friend and just A friend?

If you ask me to name my BEST friend.. I would have trouble doing it... sure I have friends.. and some are really good long time friends. but trying to narrow it down to just one or a handful is really tough.

I don't think I can sleep tonight without figuring this one out. Please help. :confused:

I definitely had a BFF...but now he is dead. I guess it really wasn't forever...just for a lifetime. I still miss him.

My best friend is my wife, Janey and our muttley crew. Hah! That was easy. :)

There's three other couples in our lives that I would consider, true friends. Everyone else is just an acquaintance. I keep these people at a distance, because the only time they're a "friend" is when they want something. :/

I have been blessed with some great friends. None are real close location wise, but I have some I can really talk to. I can tell them anything and they still love me. I love them too. My best friend here is Joe.
I know I come across as an ass sometimes, but I really am not judgmental. We have a tight knit family here. Anytime anyone needs to talk I am here for anyone even if my views are different than others.
