My friend John came up to spend the day and brought some cd's to play. We had a great day and towards the end we put in his Isao Tomita's "Snowflakes are dancing" CD.

Now I love ribbon sound and synthesizer type sounds and music. I just fell in love with the SDA sound presentation this year. This artists' music sounded like it was made for the SDAs.Kind of like Alan Parsons taken to a higher level.
Jan Hammer taken to a higher level but not to disrespect either of the just mentioned artists.

Here is a you tube link to give the ones who don't know this artist a taste of his sound style...I hope you enjoy this spacey style...

That is one soothing sound track Lazareath.I could sleep to that one. I saved the link so I can watch the whole movie at a later time.;) I love Mother nature/ planet earth stuff and the coments read like something is going to happen toward the end of the movie. And not a good thing either.

Relatives are here for two weeks but I will def. watch that whole movie as some stated,"needs to be done" in the coments..

When that Tomita stuff first came out in the 70's, the classical community was pretty up in arms already about Walter/Wendy Carlos, but this one pushed them over the edge. One reviewer stated "I Hope they put a McDonald's on Mount Fujiyama".

I can sort-of understand their feelings.Like in the Movies, when someone does a remake of an old classic,it's like blassfemy to the critics.
I haven't been exposed enough to the original classical recordings to have the negative feelings towards Tomitas' renditions.
Now with classic movies, I could be a critic too.
