The last time I bought a new snowmobile was in 1995. With all the change in technology it was time to finally upgrade.

May I present to you, my 2009 Ski-Doo GTX Le powered by a Rotax 1200CC 3-cylinder 4-stroke engine.

Just picked it up this afternoon. I had the track studded, and added the retractable wheels up front.

Now, if it would only snow!

That machine looks fast and comfortable.

Joe, if that was a Harley I would call it a Geezer Glide. Hell I will call it that anyway.

That Geezer Glide looks fast and comfortable.

Enjoy and congrats

Yep, it's a geezer sport machine. I've been snowmobiling for 20 years, and I don't feel like hot-shotting anymore, now it's just cruise long distance and enjoy the scenery and the outdoors.

The sound??...Ahhhh, what a relief!!! Quiet, compared to the 2-stroke I had. And no stinky smoke to choke on anymore.

Used to ride a bit up in Michigan growing up. Between my dad and his two bothers, we had three John Deere sleds. They were pretty fast but loud and old.

They've really come a long way since the early/mid-80s. Don't gun it and fly off the back like I did when I first road one solo at 8 years old, or hit a tree like when I was 10 :)
