It dawned on me last night as I smelt my speakers roasting in the wind that I had a warranty on them from circuit city... so if I do cook em I get new ones... So I am no longer worried about the burning smell... My new question is "IS there any chance they could possible catch fire?" I don't mind blowing the shizzznit outta em I just don't wanna set my truck on fire in the process... And Dodge Here are the amp ratings...
1000wattsx2@2 ohms
600wattsx2@ 4 ohms
So that means since I have em wired at 4 ohms that they would be getting 300 Watts RMS right not 600?????
All I know is it don't smell very good in my truck when I a roasting my subs :) I think is time for a speaker upgrade in any case but until such time I can just take them back to CC and keep getting new ones... I mean Hell what did I pay an extra 20$ per speaker for?????
