Adcom GFP565 Pre-amp. The pre is in great condition and has a fantastic sound to it. You will have to spend a lot more $ to get a better sounding preamp. If it sounds so good then why and I selling it? I went with tubes. I have ran this preamp for years without any issues.

Features 3 sets of preamp outs! One of them is a bypass so it is a direct out that bypasses the bass and treble. Premium grade IC's, front panel processor loop for an EQ or any kind of processor you would like to add on, and a fantastic phono section.

The unit comes with the original box, manual, and a re-print from Stereophile review of the amp. What did stereophile say, Well Feb. 1990 this preamp was $798.00 and what Stereophile said " If an $800.00 preamp can be compared to a $5000 product, with the results being a toss up depending upon which source material you prefer, it speaks very well"

Condition the top does have some scratches. The face to me looks fine. NOT 100% but you have to look hard to find a flaw kind of thing.

I would like to get $250 for it.

Excuse my ignorance...you say that one of the outputs is a bypass. Does that mean it has HT Bypass, and can be used with an AVR? I have heard that is something I should look into, but have never seen one. Thanks, and good luck with the sale.

Hi by bypass outputs, it bypasses all tone controls including the loudness button If you turn them or hit the loudness it will not do anything. I don't understand what HT bypass is. Sorry about that.

leroyjr1 You know I always thought I had it under my name but I see now ( after what 1 year on this board) that I don't!! Sorry about that. I have posted it up on there.

I am in the SW burbs of Chicago Bolingbrook.

Honestly, I would still be using this if it was not for changing to tubes. It is a outstanding preamp.
