View Full Version : [SOLD] Polk SDA SRS 2.3 w/updated tweets - $650

bsoko2
10-24-2009, 07:08 PM
Pair of Polk SDS SRS 2.3's (donut deivers) with updated tweeters, RDO 194. Tweets alone are 300 so you get a good deal on these for 650. Local pickup only as they will be too hard to ship unless you want to pay extra for packing and strapping down to palate for freight shipping (this we would have to work out). I also have a pair of Outlaw Audio M2200 200 watt mono block amps for an additional 425 to go with the SDA's. PM if interested.

Thanx, Bill

no they're active but just for bass. Like a reg MW6511 with a cardboard disk (donut) attached. Which is weird because in the manual the picture has no donut drivers and the wire schematic has 6511's crossed out and 6513 written under it.

Thats a good deal, good luck with the sale!

I just want them GONE and out of the way. They are sitting the in hallway now waiting to go buy-bye to some lucky buyer. The fronts are in good shape with not dings or scrathes but the wood needs some work. There were not feet with them and they just sit on the floor. Cloth is livable but could be cleaned or replaced so that is the reason I priced them low.

No, you are not crazy as that pic is of the TL's that I have for my mains, and the 2.3's that I have for sale aren't TL's.

I had a pair of these,,IIRC I paid 700.00,, they were pretty minty, but that was 2 years ago,,and they did not have the RDO replacements as these do.For the price I am surprised that they are still here.SDA's do not come around very often as they ARE getting older. They very rarely fall out of the sky and into someones lap. What ever happened to the "hunt" and "roadtrip"? These are processes that IMHO, should be mandatory for any first time SDA owner.Look at it this way,, 650.00,,(RDO's included),, a quick cap upgrade, and you are good to go for 20 years,, then you can play with the cosemetics,, as it ain't gonna affect the sound.Where else are you gonna get this kind of performance and sound for this kind of money.I get irritated by the "if only they were a little closer" comments,, get off your A$$ and go get em'.Enough of my rant,, sheesh,, 650 for 2.3's,, no brainer.A "sincere" good luck with your sale.

Oh,, bump.

Have you tried the original drivers? Do you like the "donuts" more. It'd be fun to see how much of a difference there really is...

For me there is a big diff between the donuts and the TL's. Prefer the TL's and that is why I am selling the 2.3's with the donut drivers. Although the 2.3's with the donuts are amazing speakers and do make the listening experince a pleasure (with the Dreadnaught).

Good luck with the sale. I've been keeping an eye on this thread, and I'm sure they'll sell soon.

On another note, I just cliked on your gear link, and HOLY CRAP. You're using RTA 12's as surrounds in a HT. It just looks fantastic, and I'm sure it sounds even better.

I am having a nervous breakdown watching the price drop on these great speakers. Someone in the NW better go get these beauties before I stroke out!

I paid $450 for my SDA SRS 2's with stock SL2000's and they only have 2 tweeters and 4 - 6.5" drivers per cabinet. $450 for 2.3's is a ridiculously great price.

Now go get 'em!

Quick Tips in addition to Mortite . . .
--- Also check out Dynamat Extreme threads (apply to steel spokes of drivers/passive).
--- Also Mortite the speaker cable/SDA cable connection in back.
--- Check interior seams when the drivers/passive are removed and seal if anything looks like it might allow air to pass in/out.

Enjoy !!
