Got my hands on some bulletproof glass, its 1.25" thick, I thought about using it for the walls of my DIY sub, thought it would be an interesting look. I had a suggestion to use it as just a window, possibly on top? The way my enclosure is designed I have enough to probably do 3-4 sides but not all of the enclosure... Any thoughts?

If you go that route, do the majority in MDF and just use the plexi for a window on the top. Not the whole top, but just a window. You want all the corners and edges to be in MDF because it will glue/seal better. It might be more work than you want to do though. Since the plexi is thicker than the MDF, you'd have to double up the MDF and route back a ledge for the window to seal up against. I've seen some people do it, but its usually because they have a fancy chrome plated sub that they want to show off. In your case, with the mid-fi car sub, its nothing to really show off. I'd probably just do it all in MDF.
