It's getting freaking boring so I head out the the Mall to watching Michael this is it documentary. If it ain't so good, the few bucks go to a "good cause" for his estate. Don't laugh, just poor me thinking.

I love old school big nose Michael, I wouldn't give two this flick 5 cents.
I will only watch it ( probably about 20 minutes of it) when it comes to HBO or the Discovery Channel.

I think I will see it. Is it a documentary or is it a concert?

If you want to see a better movie about a guy who touches kids, check out Little Children. At least it has Jackie Earle Haley in it.

Well, if you can keep an open mind, go see it. It's an awesome documentary abt M.J. I love the visual and sound effects. Good musician and talented guy. I do not care abt his life style. We all have the freedom of choice and the consequence of our action. This is abt music.

The AMC theater sound system is so good, I do not want to touch mine right now. No, that's not what some of you are thinking. I meant my H/T system.:D

Sorry you do not like the "This is it" documentary.

Roger Ebert called it " an extra-ordinary documentary". I am not surpised if it will be nominated for the Oscar for best picture or best documentary.

Hey, if it gets us another album as good as Thriller, I say we toss a couple of young boys at some other musicians and see what happens. I mean... what's the innocence and rectal fortitude of a few small children compared to a song like Billie Jean?

I'm sorry, but idolizing Michael Jackson is like saying "That John Wayne Gacy might have been a killer... but I liked those clown paintings he did."

I know it's obvious to some of us, but thanks for pointing out the facts to those that remain ignorant.

Good point.

At the same token, like it or dislike it, these musicians as imperfect as they were, they are a part of my life as well as some others'.

At certain age, one likes to live or re-live the memory. Be it Janis Joplin, Jimmy Hendrix, CCR...or M.J as in this case. Not really idolize them but just trying to enjoy the music that's all. Cheer!:)

It does not change my perspective of life however, on the way home, I thought a lot abt life, death and the freedoom of choice that we have.

Well, it's kind of sad to see the rise and the fall of a talented musician.

The only thing about this movie that excites me more then the anticipation of seeing it is the official DVD review.

The footage I've seen showed MJ being at the center of the production for the concerts and how involved he was regarding various aspects of the show. I'm always interested in those aspects of musical productions, whether they're for a concert or an album. However, I wouldn't go to a theater to see that. DVD for me.

I heard on the radio that there are a growing amount of people who suspect that a LOT of the movie is shown with body and voice doubles instead of the real MJ.

Interesting idea.

Well, had they shown his real story, I'm certain there would have been a lot of touching.

I just think it's funny how people forget in the name of entertainment. It's like saying "Yeah, but what about all the GOOD things Hitler did?" Ridiculous.

A couple weeks ago, on the NPR network there was an interview with the grandson or so of J. Stalin who now resides in Georgia . The interview was abt his lawsuit to bring back the good name of J. Stalin. This is real stuff, no fiction.

I think you are confused M.J with O.J.

Saw this last night & it was fantastic. If you are planning on waiting for the DVD & you dont have a nice set of speakers then you will be missing out, the sound made the movie.

Yea, its all rehersal footage but it still is very entertaining. You could tell he really wasnt giving the singing his 100% & was saving his voice for the the actual shows which he actually mentions but he still sounded great & the band was awesome.

I'm pretty sure my Polks can properly reproduce the sound of children losing their innocence. Hell, my system can even reproduce the subtle sloshing of a cup o' Jesus Juice!

Tooo funny!!!!! LOL

Checked it out on the fly, and must say it was very good. The documentary is the actual rehersal sessions for the tour, so you get to see and hear the songs performed. Very good band, and the dude is a genius. Funny watching everyone kiss his ass, and how polite he is when telling someone their sh*t aint right. For those who saw it, the line "like I wrote it" was a classic way to say shut the F*ck up and do it like I said to do it LOL

I do not believe any home system will be sound near that good as in the theatre.

We all have different perspective abt M.J but this is just abt music and I have no power to judge another fellowman. That's not my job. I keep my stone and I certainly do not want to be the first one to cast it.
