G.I. Joe The Rise of Cobra

Got it early (of course). Honestly, not much of a plot, but almost non-stop action, cool sfx, lots of boom boom and really good eye candy. Some fun cameo appearances that I got a jolly chuckle at. All in all, pretty fun if you go into it just for the entertainment value. The visual effects are really awesome, so I'm probably going to buy it for this reason. See it tomorrow....;)

I borrowed the BD from a friend over the weekend. Great video and sound (even better than when I saw it in the theater), but just didn't strike me as something I'd watch repeatedly. I canceled my pre-order... which I had only made because I was going BD crazy when I got my Oppo.

But for good dumb action movie fun, it's an enjoyable ride. And it sure did make the pretty lights on my subwoofer's amp flicker! :D

I watched this on my 100% emotiva setup, and it was breathtaking. The Cobra Chicken was so realistic i could almost smell it.
