Just checked out a first-season DVD of "Mad Men" from the library this weekend.

Excellent writing, great character development, nice musical arrangement and an interesting and seemingly accurate portrayal of corporate / office culture in 1950s America: heavy drinking, male cheuvanism, smoking everywhere, cigarette holders, and a level of self-confidence/ arrogance that is simply off the charts.

Very well produced. Recommended if you haven't caught it.

If you liked season one, you'll LOVE season two. That show is a masterpiece and just keeps getting better.

Love this show and last night's episode was the best yet this season. Can't wait for the finale.

FiOs FINALLY got AMC in HD, I hated watching this in SD. So distracting.

One line I think is "Joan, look at you, the way you cruise around this place like a big ol' steam ship"
