Odyssey Stratos amp differences. [Archive]

I see that Klaus offers 3 versions of his Stratos amp. The basic is the Stratos Stereo, then you can move up the chain to the Stratos Stereo Plus, and if that's not enough, the next level of upgrade is the Stratos Stereo Extreme.

Sheesh!!! What's your take on the upgrades & are they worth the extra $$$ & what sonic improvement does each upgrade produce.

I like it alot. But too bad its Odyssey and has that stupid insert. can you tell i dont like the white hot inserts?

Are the upgrades worth it.............YES!!!!!!!!!
I have the Odyssey Mono Special Editions with Red Boards and 180,000uF.
For the Money the Odyssey amps cant be beat....now that just my 2cents;)

The upgrades are worth it, but there is no way of really knowing what you are getting because Klaus basically makes the amps custom for each individual. His business is in no way assembly line production. Kismet is currently the highest upgrades.

Any word on the Kismet line? They're listed on his web site but no info shows up. Strange?

I talked to Klaus last night. Great conversation & insight into his product line...I'd say the man knows a thing or two about building serious audio gear!!! We went over a lot of variables & in the end a fully tricked out Stratos Stereo Extreme would best fit my needs according to Klaus. I'm still looking at other amps also. But for the money, It looks like Klaus is ahead of the pack.

Yeah he is definitely capable of building a serious sick amp for the money.

The things are built like a German Tank,,the absolute best that mine sounded was when I had them paired with an Audible Illusions pre,,IIRC is was and L-1.
