A more serious sign that you're raising your kids right, from Bill SImmons latest column (http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=simmonsnflpicks/091106) :
I stopped the [book tour] signings for two days so I could spend Halloween weekend with my kids. We live in a neighborhood that gets slammed by trick-or-treaters; this time, we ran out of candy with dozens of trick-or-treaters left. Just as we were about to start turning people away, my daughter announced that she wanted to give away her candy to the remaining trick-or-treaters. And she did. She's 4. She is going to be a good kid. I know it. This was the happiest moment of my book tour, hands down. My father told me I would understand someday, but I already do.
I'm not a dad but I'm a sucker for stories like that. :)
OK, back to giving away speakers so I can be mad that my parents weren't rich audiophiles....

My wife and I have always stressed to our 6 year old little girl how important it is to act appropriately wherever we are. We took her to a traditional Celtic music concert last weekend. We found seats about 6 rows back on the center aisle. Our daughter saw a couple of seats open in the front row and asked if she could sit up there with our goddaughter. We let her go ahead and sit up front and without any guidance or comments about good behavior she sat respectfully and attentively for the entire two hour performance. It was a quiet and sometimes slow paced traditional acoustic set and they both sat quietly still the entire time. My wife and I were so proud and very happy that she enjoyed the concert as much as she did. We received a lot of positive comments after the show about both of the girls. It made my day for sure.

Congrats & well done! I hope you rewarded the 2 girls appropriately to reinforce their good behavior!

No, you bring up a good point. The next 2 words in his vocabulary lessons will be 'Polk' and 'Audio' followed by 'SDA'. Follow-up lessons will include Anthem, Pioneer Elite, Denon to name a few. Got to start with equipment on hand for him to make the connection.:D

My son is 17, at about 10 he got into my pile of old audio stuff, took what he wanted and hooked them up in his room. Now every time I upgrade something he ask if he can have it. He currently has a NAD 3150 and 2600 hooked to Polk RTA 12c's and a pair of monitor 7's. All wired into his computer and playstation.

My Dad raised me one foot at a time. :p
My graduation gift from high school was a suitcase. I graduated in May 79 and had already enlisted in the Army on the Delayed Entry Program. I left for Basic in August. See ya, Son...
