Songs with low bass

Im trying to gather an 80 minute long mix of pieces and songs by various artist containing low bass difficult to produce. any suggestions for music?

Nope, but I know a program you can download to help ya. If you have Roadrunner some sort of high speed connection and have a downloading software that can download software; download Fruity Loops. Play with it, figure it out. It has the whole spectrum of frequencies, from the highest bass notes to the lowest. It can probally go down to 6hz. Its the full spectrum and can make any woofer scream.

Truly deep sounds can usually only be created with a synth. There are HUUUUUUUUGE drums and such, but they are rare.

Most music bass doesnt go below 30hz or so. with the exception being pipe organs. I've been told the lowest string on a bass guitar is 41hz. Not sure what hz a kick drum would be...

Ditto that. If you want some extra snap in the bass check out Sisqo - Dance for Me. It doesn't go that deep, but it would give most 8 inch speakers some troubles and it is a lot punchier and quicker than most rap, a good test to see if your hitting where you should or if you're just booming away.

Mx, better check your facts again. if the lowest note on a bass guitar was 25hz then some of the BEST speakers in the world wouldn't be able to reproduce it. and there would be a LOT of frustrated audiophiles out there trying to figure out how to get that last note! I'm pretty sure its in the 40hz range...

also try rap bass asult, Waren G -regulators,D12 - Purple Pills, icp, and 2 live crew. fass down a$$ up, bass 917 and most other songs by them but if you want to go real low you need a good bass cd.

If you're into classical music at all there is a cd called "Bachbusters" that will put any stereo to its test. Back when I was in high school fifteen years ago there was this dude who worked at a car audio shop and he had 4 18 inch Rockford Fosgate subwoofers with a bridged 1000 watt Fosgate power amp (just for the subs) in the back seat of his car (there was no back seat...just a "W" wall of subs) and this was the TEST cd...Bachbusters. There are organs on here that go very very deep. I think the song is called "fugue".

Also Jewel's "Spirit" cd has an amazing amount of bass that compliments here angelic voice. Track #10 "Barcelona" is one of my favorites from her. The bass gets progressive deeper throughout the song and is continuous...my poor PSW350 is hurting trying to reproduce the bass...shakes the house!

Pink Floyd...yes that too. The helicopter scene from "The Wall" along with a few other songs from that album too.

The first Lamb album (Lamb) has lots of nice melodic bass. Also, you might want to check out Kruder and Dorfmeister's K&D Sessions, as they have some re-mixed Lamb, Bone Thugs, and other bass heavy acts on there.

Alpha's first CD (Come from Heaven) also is quite bass heavy, but very beautiful at the same time.

The reason these came to mind because they have so much else going on that the speakers must be pretty good to reproduce all the frequencies properly. I'm listening to the Alpha album right now and the bass is very musical, different notes with drums at the same time. So you've got your woofer trying to reproduce the bass and the drum at the same time, which takes an accurate speaker to do.

there are many bass test cds available. you can find them just about anywhere you can buy a regular cd.

A lot of Rush's music has pretty deep bass, especially when they're using the bass pedals.

Peter Gabriel's music has some great bass - Tony Levin can play that thing!
