I posted this awhile back on the 2-ch forum! I'm posting it here and now as a reminder and to reach more people.
I went to it last year and had a blast. This year I'm getting a room, taking a rig, and making a weekend of it.

Stuff is cheap, music is awe inspiring, knowledge and experience is insightful and heartfealt, and attitudes are pleasant and friendly.
I hope to see you there.

bignorm: I'll be wearing a grey&black jacket. If no jacket, then either a Chicago Blues festival sweat shirt or a John Coltrane T-shirt depending on the day. I may or may not have family in tow. That's yet to be decided.
Russ: You have mail.
I know of 4 members within an hour of me here near Detroit plus one in Cleveland. They should all go.

You haven't lived until you've heard a pair of Edgarhorns on tube amps. Realistically fluid and full of goosebumps.
Parts Express: Last year they had the Vifa ring tweeters (LSi9 and other brands), for less than $20 each. Catch them on Sunday afternoon and they hit rock bottom so they don't have to pack&haul/ship it back.
Free seminars from people that know their stuff. Everything from woodworking (I'm looking forward to bending techniques), to speaker placement.
Rows of tables at an audio flea-market. Again, they are there to sell.
Jim Griffin (the line-array DIY guru) will be there.
This is an internet picture of one of the rooms I visited last year. To put things into perspective, the woofers at the bottom are 15" Altecs and the midrange horn is atleast "30.

Bring your favorite CDs and/or albums. They're more than happy to play them for you. Bring your speakers. They also have the use of the theater. I've always wanted to hear a pair of SRTs (hint) in a big theater.
I may or may not get a room for the weekend. If I do, I'll take a few pair of speakers (periscopes and others), and some electronics. If I don't get a room a might still bring my periscopes just to get a chance to hear them on $10K amps.

Well, this year was a little different.
No Parts Express store. They were there, but only with some DIY speakers built with Parts Express stuff.
No use of the theater.
There was only 2 flea market tables. One selling albums, the other selling JBL & Altec stuff.
The saddest part is that I wanted to buy the demo pair of Edgarhorn Slimlines. They were a little out of my price range so I went to get the phone, when I came back they were sold.
I was there for about 8-9 hrs. It was still quite fun and will do it again next year.
