I know we're spread out all over the place, but I'm curious anyway what part of the country you all live in. I'll keep this simple.. do you live in the Western or Eastern half of the US?

Reason I'm interested in this factoid.. is because I like to buy stuff off Ebay when I can. Most all of the things I purchase are about 90% of the time located as far away from me as possible. ie: Boston, Florida, Washington DC. rarely do I find anything worth buying near me in the Northwest.

Pennsylvania. It blows ass. If you ever watch the weather channel when they say "most of the nation is calm" they never point out that the NE is like five below zero. Winter just doesn't want to go.

Southeastern Louisiana; 15 miles from New Orleans close to the bayou. And its crawfish eatin and beer drinking time down here.

I lived in Baton Rouge for 10 years and attended LSU. Voted Playboy's number #1 party college numerous times; (very good Chemical Engineering program there too).

Upper midwest...Wisconsin to be exact. We get our fair share of cold and snow too, although this winter we have been spared. Most of the big snowstorms have just missed us to the south.

Danger boy,

Nova Scotia is a far east province. East of Maine. BC's beautiful, can't beat the Rockies. If you're not far from BC, you must be in the midst of the Rockies and I hope you're taking advantage of the slopes. In Ontario were vertically chalenged. :(

North51,

Nice to see another Canuck in here. My parents took a trip out east last summer and raved about the beauty. They'll be headed that way this summer too.

What is it about SEC schools? My alama mater UT (University of Tennessee - in Knoxville TN - my home) has held that prestigious honor a time or two.

BTW...I went to graduate banking school at LSU and I do believe Baton Rouge is the only place in the US that had 98º and 98% humidity at the same time...every day of the summer!

Enjoying the weather here in Santa Rosa, Northern California. About an hour north of San Fancisco. 30 Minutes to the beach for some nice surf, and about 3 hours from some of the best skiing to be had in the US. Its about 70 degrees here today, and has been that way for about a week. It will rain this weekend though. bummer :D Mike

Hey Steve,

I was in Austin just last summer for a week (seminar for work). Cool town. Went to 5th or 6th Street (don't remember) which reminded me of a "cleaner" Bourbon Street with all the bars and live bands playing. And yes, plenty of nice looking blonde Texan women.

I even followed a co-workers recommendation and went to the "Yellow Rose"; wow, what an experience.
