I know this is a bit subjective.....but would like to know which would be the better option in the 2-channel dept.:
Adom 7700 OR
Adcom 5503
I am running RTiA9s and a Pioneer SC-05 as a pre....
please advise, as I may decide on one soon...very soon my friends.

One is a 3 channel and one is a 5 channel. ... I could see 4 so you could bi wire the speakers...
I'd buy an old Adcom GFA-555 and have it modded--or refreshed...the original Adcoms had the simplest design and the design that Nelson Pass liked the best....he thought the newer amps added unnecessary complexities. So your refreshed 555 should sound the best....or two 565 mono-blocks for ridiculous power!

Are the original 555's bridgeable...my thinking would be buy one now and then someday purchase a second and use them as mono amps at that point in time(?).

Try to pick up a pair of Odyssey Mono-blocs used on Audiogon,
great amps cant be beat at the used prices.
