Saw this movie at the theater but I haven't bought it yet - anyone care to review the video/audio on this one?

Both were very good. 1 to 5 stars both were 3.5 to 4.
Great blacks and good use of surround. Bass is clean and not overpowering. Not quite reference material but solid.

It is a "Horror" flick. The same director as 13 Ghost. If your not a fan of horror you may want to pass on this one.
For me the "movie" was barely a 3 out of 5 stars.

I found it to be entertaining, and worth adding to my DVD collection. I agree with Scott, 3 out of 5 is a good rating for this movie.

The opening dance scene is worth a rental, after that, it drops off sharply and you'll get bored fast.
Peace Out~:D

I agree with Ron-P. If the rest of the movie would have been "as good as" the opening scene, Ghost Ship would have raked in a LOT more cash at both the box office and DVD sales.

Warning - Major Spoilers Ahead - Don't Read If You Want To See Ghost Ship.
Great looking transfer, audio was very good - bass was very powerful at times, but surprisingingly sedate when the tug blew up. Special effects were good, but CGI of the ship sinking was noticeably sub par.
I thought the entire flick was interesting and offbeat - certainly a new twist on a horror movie. The whole Devil or Devil's lackey "entice to sin and entrap" concept is not new, but was well integrated into this movie.
I really like the throbbing techno music and fast edit flashback scene when the girl showed what happened on the ship in the 60's.
Harmless and lightweight popcorn fun with some genuine "made me jump" moments - a good time. It was a smidge better than the similar themed 13 Ghosts.

I liked it.
A friend loaned it to me, I decided to order it, it's on the way.
