Hi. I wish to buy a receiver for my acoustics:
front - monitor 50
center - CS1
rear - monitor 30
Sub - PSW 10
It would be desirable to collect the balanced system, but at the same time to squeeze out a maximum of this acoustics.
My room is 5.5 x 3.5 meters
Now i have a receiver (Sony STR-DE400), but I think that it not so good for given acoustics.

What can advise?

welcome to Club Polk.

What is your budget for the new AVR?

Also, what exactly are you looking for it to do? HT, Music, both? HDMI, Pre outs, Upscaling, etc. A little more info and we can point you in the right direction. Welcome to Club Polk.

thanks =)
I use it for Video & Music(stereo and 5.1)
The computer (SPDIF) and DVD (SPDIF) will be a sound source.
Has now looked some models, how they to you?
Yamaha RXV-465
Denon AVR-390
Pioneer VSX-819H

I couldn't find any info on the Denon, but from what I have heard they are typically very good for music. The Yammy and the Pioneer look like they are very similar spec wise, so I would see if you could possibly go to your local BB and try to get your ears on one and let them decide. According to their site they sell both the Pioneer and the Yammy. Did you possibly type the model of the Denon wrong? The Monitor 60's are a fairly easy speaker to push and any one of those will do a fine job at it.

Regulus, looks like Jeff has you pointed in the right direction. Im kinda partial to the Pioneers myself, also maybe consider an Onkyo as they seem to be popular here as well. Good Luck.

Welcome to the club, IF your going with the Yamaha get the RX-V665 because it has pre-outs, so when your ready to upgrade to separates you won't have a problem.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess that the OP doesn't have a BB close by, just a hunch.;)

Yeah, that was my thought as well, but just figured I'd give it a shot.

Of the AVRs you mention I would choose the Pioneer..

But if you can scrounge up some more coin..try and get a good deal on the Pioneer 9040....pretty much like an Elite model. And better than anything you list..

It has pre-outs too...But you should listen to some of these..

Also take a look at Harman Kardon. I have one and love it. If you do not mind refurbished you can get some great deals on the official ebay store.

Look into the used market where you will find higher end receivers that are one to three years old. You will get more bang for your buck looking at higher end Yamaha, Onkyo and even Pioneer. Figure out exactly what you are looking for such as HDMI, pre outs etc. and then you can target what receiver works best for you. Generally, best buy carries lower end audio. Higher end used equipment is a much better value.

+1 Onkyo.

The 607 would be fine for your setup.

HK gets my vote

Let me say HK gets a super VOTE from me.

Been putting a good number of hours on my AVR 325 sound is smooth and neutral. Makes you want to smoke a............ cigar ;). I know a lot of the people around hear like Onkyo But I have heard some onkyo gear and while don't get me wrong its great I think HK has a lead over them IMO.

Much better then any other AVR that I have heard please if you get a chance give an HK a listen is well worth your time.

I would have to agree. I think the HK is superior in 2 channel sound..but the Onkyos have a slightly more dynamic HT sound. It isn't until you get up into the SUPER Onkyos that you actually get some reasonable two channel sound, i.e., 1007,3007, 5007...or older 876/906. H/K is generally warmer sounding and according to one's tastes (mine are 'warm' for music) you'd want to consider that. And if you like H/K you should also listen to Marantz!!

Onkyo 607 it seems to me that AVR with a large supply for my acoustics. I think that I will stop on Pioneer 819 if certainly I will not find were in the use, but higher level for the same money as Pioneer 819. All many thanks for councils. I am glad that have addressed to you.

And sorry for my english =)

No apoligies necessary, it is my first language and I have a hard enough time making sense, lol. Never been to Russia, but was just in Kyrgyzstan about a year ago, lots of Russian influance there.
