Well Gary, it's like this. Most of the things I like in life come in pairs. A woman with 2 eyes, ears, legs, arms,.......:D
Actually, I could never get the REL I have to blend well at all with my speakers. After some research and hearing a stereo pair, I was sold. I got a killer deal on the pair.
They are actually out of balance right now. I've added some new traps to the room and haven't had the time to rebalance them with the new traps. I have some new peaks, a bit of bloat and overhang I need to address over the next several days.

I have proof of that sitting in my driveway. Never seen soo much salt stuck to vehicle from the drive through MD last weekend.
They really could have saved a bit of salt for another time!
Hope the weather doesn't crap on you guy's this weekend.

Hey,, it snowed in Jawja for about 2-4 minutes yesterday,, in the extreme northern parts of the city/state.At the first sight of a snowflake, the locals rush of to their neighborhood Publix's,, leaving the major arteries open for traffic,, so me weekend at Bennies went better than planned,,but that another thread.
Hope you guys keep warm and safe.

I was the first to have to leave but fellas, I had a great time! The music was secondary to meeting some great folks. Gary and I have been trying to get together for about 8-9 months, just didn't seem to work out until this weekend.
All that Carver gear had me reliving some of my youth!. I had forgotten how the Sonic Holography could bend the sound in such a positive manner. I'll post more of my impressions within a few days.
Thanks for the great time Gary!!

You're welcome, Gordon; sorry you couldn't stay longer~ you missed some great music!
Bruce from AudioKarm forum came today; he brought his Polk RTi-55 speakers; they sounded great! Also had folks from Carver as well as Gordon from Polk Audio forums.

It was great to meet some other locals I've only talked to online. Gordon, let's not wait so long for next time~
I enjoy getting together with like-minded (or not) individuals & discussing audio, music, etc. I most always come away learing about a few new recordings to add to my library.
I'm listening to Monte Alexander: My America on SACD right now. Bruce & I auditioned it on his Polk RTi 55s yesterday....I have been thoroughly impressed with all the Monty Alexander I've heard thus far (on Telarc).

I was thoroughly impressed with Bruce's Polk RTi 55 speakers. We finally got them dialed in with the sub & it sounded d@mn good! Too bad the guys who left early didn't get to hear that~
