RTI A9 overall width and floor spike info?

With a piar of A9s in route, I am trying to prepare. I am looking at outriggers and need to know the overall width at the section where the stabilizers are located?

Secondly if I do not go with outriggers I might put aftermarket spikes on. Can anyone tell me the size and thread of the spike taps.

Other ideas accepted. I have a very old house with very un-even floors. I want to level and ensure stability!

Don't know about the A-series but I asked the same question about the Monitor series a while back and was told the spikes extended 1" from the cabinet. In the pictures, the A-series feet look even wider.

Not the cheapest , but best and most adjustabillity. A company called ADONA. Make some killer racks too.The object is spike into floor or pads , but have a air gap between bottom of cabinet and floor surface. Break your A'9s in SLOW. 80 hours min before woofers loosen up and make any sound. Polk will agree. Load up CD player with some bassy music and low to mid volume go do your shopping. speeds up break in time. 2nd way is speakers face to face and have 1 speaker with polarity reversed and let them beat each other up. First method is most preferred. Give them time. They will continue to sound better and better as hours build up. Mine peaked after about 1 year of daily use. ENJOY!!!

I just measured, the overall width from the end of each foot is 11 in. they do come with standard carpet spikes but I'm not sure what the thread size is.

Thread size is 1/4" - 20. I got the 1.375" spikes from oregondv.com because the carpet we have is really really thick and the polk spikes just didn't get down to the subfloor. They take some effort to get in but it was worth it in the end (carpet was stressing grille pins at bottom of cabinet).

Ordered mine from OregonDV, I went 2.10" in front and 1.5" in the rear to give my RTi12s better imaging in my 2nd row in the HT. Overall the 2nd row sounds better and I can say they definitely add to the speakers appearance.
