Title says it all. A set of RS II's came up locally and I need some advice. I've been looking to break out of my "polk bubble" for a while, wondering if this set may be a good first step.

PM me if you know a thing or two about the older RS line.

Thanks.

I had them. I heard Polk's and gave mine away.

Ha. I actually caught that on another thread. Don't get me wrong, love my Polks, just want to "bridge out" a bit.

Great speakers, but long in the tooth if you have a need for mids and tweets. The Watkins woofers can be rebuilt, but it can be high. I miss my RSIIIB's, one of those speakers I should have never sold.

Some of Arnie Nudell's best work, if you ask me. Including his Polk (Eosound), Genesis, and Cambridge Soundworks offerings. Definatley worth saving / restoring.

Cheers,
Russ

Not an actual picture of the speakers, but these are the ones available. If you guys are up for it, please PM me your idea of a fair price. (Nothing in posts; got burned this way before). From the desription, all surrounds ARE GOOD.

There is an Infinity dedicated forum at

Might be a good place to seek info.

I owned Infinity RSIIIb's in the mid '80's, I liked them very much. I would rate them the second best speaker I have ever owned, with the AR9Lsi's being first.

John, sound like you kindof gave up the RS's, but if you haven't, PM Geoff727. He is restoring some.

In TOTAL agreement.
