I currently have two Polk RTI A7. I'm looking at switching to the Polk LSI 9S. Using them 50/50, two channel music and HT. Any recommendations from anyone that has had both. Any feedback on spending this kind of money to get the better speaker would be appreciated.

I have heard both the RTi A7's and the LSi's at a local shop, the LSi's are by far the best home theater speakers I have ever been able to listen to. Too expensive for me though. Would you selling your RTi A7s?

What would you be powering it with? Keep in mind that the LSi's pretty much require an amp capable of driving a 4ohm load.

^^^^^^^^^^Good Point^^^^^^^^^^^
The RTiA's are relatively easy to drive. Don't expect a significant upgrade in sound unless you give the LSi's the kind of power they need.

Not sufficient to power the LSi's IMO. Those LSi9 dip down below 3 ohms at certain points. That AVR will run extremely hot and you will not get that much out of them at that rated power.
