I'm watching "Magnolia" for the umpteenth time tonight (with a friend who hasn't seen it... And because I have the home theater, I always stupidly volunteer to show it, because it must SUCK on a poor little 4:3 TV...).

I promise I am not ever watching this DVD again after tonight, ever.

Any movies in your collection like this? What do you do them?

Take three of them to the Music Wherehouse and trade for any one brand new DVD, they only do this on Tuesday of the week.;)

None, I only buy the ones I will not get tired of.

My God man....Magnolia!

So let me get this straight. You own Magnolia, yet you will not even rent The Phantom Menace.

Guess all I can say is.....wait, I can't say anything, I'm at a loss for words.

Magnolia sucks like a hoover.

Peace Out~:D

I do not own MAGNOLIA. Justin bought it, got sick of it, and donated it to the demo drawer here in the orifice.

After watching it this weekend -- it is a very well made and interesting film -- I am never watching it again. That's 3 hours I just can not waste any more.

Good thing Micah, I was really starting to worry after your origional comments.

But, I've lost all respect for Justin, he's got some work to do to earn it back now.

If you hated MAGNOLIA, do not see "Happiness," a film by Tod Solenze, the guy who did "Welcome To The Dollhouse." HAPPINESS is what MAGNOLIA should have been. Less slick, but very well acted and constructed. (Of course, "Welcome To The Dollhouse" is GREAT!)

I'm also tired of owning "A Fish Called Wanda." I got it as a gift from an ex-girlfriend... And I am not ever going to watch it again. But, if I ditch it and she sees that it's missing, she'll be peeved at me.

If she is your EX then you have no worries. If infact if you do get back together with her and she notices that it is gone, just tell her it reminded you of her too much and the pain was to great to bear, so you had to give it away. That would work, maybe even enough to get back into her.....life, yeah, her life, thats it.

Call it morbid curiosity, but what is the deal with MC and the women who have no romantic interest in him anyway??

Personally, if it is an ex, I could give a rats arse about what they thought of the disposition of the goods that they bestowed upon me.

I'm just saying.....I have found that there are more women in the world that will go out with you than there are that won't. That being the case, I find that any time and energy spent trying to regain the affection of someone in the past only impedes the inevitability of finding the next one...

man, I'm going to pass on further comment on this one.

Prollem is, the ex lives right around the block from me. So we are friendly and see each other every now and again. No romance at all going on anymore. My choice, pretty much. But she comes over to watch a movie every now and again, no harm.

It doesn’t, matter what film you’re tried with within a week or two it more about how you’re feeling what kinder mood you’re in and what type of topic you’d like to explore in the films soundtrack as there’s lots to explore.

So I really don’t have any films to add to this topic besides that happy viewing.:)

That forum is kind of dead from an audio standpoint. It is more of a chat forum for a few close buddies.

God, I've got a number of dogs in my DVD collection. Back when I first got my HTIB in college, I would routinely purchase whatever was selling for $7.99 at Walmart, including several bad Emilio Estevez movies: Judgement night, Young Guns I & II, etc. I'm also a sucker for buying $2.99 no art DVDs at Movie Trading if it's something I've even remotely wanted to rent.

BUt, this pales in comparison to my girlfriend's DVD collection. She owns about 200 DVDs. About 100 are watchable comedies, better romantic comedies (chick flicks). The other 100+ are just dog crap. Most still in wrappers.
