I got some monitor 30s earlier this month. I played around with them for a while and they sounded good. However, when I was watching a movie with lots of noise going on in the rear channel I started hearing a tearing noise. The next day I played the part again and could hardly hear it, but I still could. I replaced the speaker with another one and did not hear it at all.

Is something wrong with my speaker?

BTW: I put my boxes in the garbage, so I hope polk does not want me to send it back.

I kinda had the same problem with one speaker I got from polk last week, except that it was like that straight out of the box. The problem was with the woofer. I called them up and told them what was wrong and they sent me a new replacement woofer no questions asked. I got the woofer today, installed it and everything is great now:D Not sure exactly whats wrong with yours but definitely give them a call. They have great customer service;)

Damn straight they do. Best CS this side of the milkyway, and a big shout out to all those behind the scene in the CS department that never seem to get the slap on the back, publicly anyway.

Call them up, offer them a box of chocolates, and all your troubles will evaporate.:)
