Picked up a somewhat vintage phono pre,,IIRC Dr Gizmo had something to do with it.It has been modded by George Kaye,and I plan to take it further.It plays with moving coil cartridges(my has the gain lowered to 60+/- Db,,ha a 12AU7 and a pair of 12AX7's.I vaguely remember these phono's,and when a friend of mine spotted one for me,I picked it up.Alledgedly,with the right caps,it'll run with the big boy phono's.It has great detail,decent soundstage,,and that "organic warmth" that appeals to me.It's a very interesting little piece.
