I haven't been living in the world of records for too long, but I wanted to know, is it possible to keep a record clean enough that you'll never hear pops and clicks due to dust? And if so, how do you do it?

If the record is already damaged, the answer is no. If it isn't then the answer is yes. A record cleaning machine and proper cleaning fluids, MFSL innersleeves to store the records in will produce snap, crackle & pop free records.

Total wackjob. Posted at 8:40AM today on this thread. Gonzo. That and the other place he posted insanity. Somebody is Johnny-on-the-spot handling this guy. Kudos!

The other spot he posted and promptly disappeared was Fongo's "My New Toy" thread.

YEAH IT'S POSSIBLE!!! Either get GOOD gear and set it up PROPERLY OR
NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER remove it from the inner sleeve. Everyone here will agree, once older vinyl is hurt there is NO going back.

The cheapest way to find out is a DIY RCM. I have plenty of Triton X114
