Scott, take a long bladed screw driver and a rubber mallet. Place the screw driver through the pointed footer hole until it reaches the other cap and tap it out with rubber mallet. Give me a call if you have any problems.

I have a question about how you opened the leg caps to fill your VTI rack? I ahve not tried with any tools yet just my hand but I have not had any luck.
