Just got a brand new (for me) pair of SDA SRS 2.3's. Got home to find one of the binder posts broke off at the point where the speaker wire feeds through it. I have just enough thread left to screw on the jumper clips. My temporary fix was to move the speakers wires to the top binder posts. Three questions:
1) Will attaching the speaker wires to the top (high end) binding posts instead of the lower posts affect sound or performance in any way? My "gut" answer is no since the posts are jumpered together anyway.
2) Where to I find replacement binder posts to make a permanent fix to this issue?
3) Assuming I find replacement binder posts, how does one get off all the glue?/plastic that has been "melted" over the entire interior of the speaker connection box. I suppose I could just take a Dremel tool to the spot that needs fixing but that seems absolutely barbaric to do this. May be my only option though.
Thanks in advance for Club Polk help community.
