- I have had decent audio equipment since I was 15.
It all started when I was collecting for my paper route and a customer invited me into his home to listen to The Who Tommy
I noticed his stereo and he asked me if I would like to listen to it.
Well I was hooked, being just a kid I didn't have much money but back then Radio Shack sold more than just phones and would let you pay it out layaway and credit.
Anyway later in life, 1989 I saw the article in Stereo Review for the SDA SRS 2.3 TLS I drove halfway across Houston to listen to them and they blew me away. I sold my Pioneer HPM-100 and Realistic Mach2 to a friend to make room, everything fell in place.
The next weekend I got a truck went back over there, Sheffield Audio, I have had them since.
In December 2011 I bought a set of SDA-1C for the bedroom because the Monitor 70 Series II I bought just didn't really do anything for me, just not the same.
My wife doesn't like the size of either one of them, but she collects old records and loves the way they sound so it's ok :-)
