I was looking into CD players to buy, need to get one soon after the last one bought the farm. I've narrowed it down to the Emotiva ERC-1 & the cambridge 840c.

Of course there are no direct comparisons yet online, but this thread was the closest I found. I realize you're not sharing results till everyone's heard it, but I was wondering if you had any initial thoughts onw aht you'd recommend?

The emotiva's price is appealing, but if the cambridge is noticeably better, I'd seing for it instead, especially with the digital inputs replacing the needs for another DAC.

Any info or advise would be welcome, I'll keep it private till the official results are posted.
